ISTD Biophilia Competition Brief

This is the piece of work I produced for the Biophilia competition brief set by ISTD in 2021. The aim of this brief was to encourage people to reconnect with nature. To try and do this I created a booklet that celebrated the sky and clouds, which includes both images, information and poetry about the sky. I chose this as my focus area as I wanted something related to nature that was accessible to anyone in anyplace.

Live Design Briefs – STA Travel

For this project I chose a brief from STA Travel. They wanted to have a design campaign which aimed to get young people to visit travel agents and to get them to #StartTheAdventure. To do this, I made new imagery for them to use on their social media sites. I created 4 Instagram stories, and a matching Twitter header that are fun and colourful, as well as a poster which highlights the Volunteering and Voluntouring packages they offer.

Updraught Images Logo Design

I was contacted by an upcoming company called Updraught Images requesting that I create a logo for them. The logo they chose was the one below as they felt it related strongly to what their business is, a drone photography company. Included in the gallery below are images of the branding on uniform, and how they’ve applied it to their website and social media.

Editorial Design – Dada Manifesto Book Design

For this editorial design project we were given the task of creating both the cover and inner pages for the ‘Dada Manifesto 1918’ by Tristan Tzara. The sleeve of the cover is red ink screen printed onto tracing paper, with the intent of the black design slightly showing through. The book is bound using the Japanese stitch binding technique using red embroidery thread as a call back to the sleeve design.
